Going on pilgrimage

Marian Shrines

One way to help our prayer life during the lockdown is to 'go on pilgrimage'.

The Holy Father encourages us to honour Our Lady especially in May 2020 by praying the Holy Rosary.

With the family or with a friend, we can do so at one of the famous shrines of our Lady, such as Walsingham, Lourdes, Fatima, Loreto, Torrecuidad, Navarre, or at another European shrine.

The Rosary Shrine in London has a beautiful virtual Rosary Way.

Shrines of Europe

From the website:

As churches and sanctuaries across the continent are closing their doors, a large number of faithful find themselves unable to ask for prayer and support. In response to those needs, sanctuarystreaming.eu will provide them with free access to livestream services.

With this project, we want to show the Church’s solidarity, communion and unity in supporting all European people, and help them grow in a spirit of attention to the other, as individuals, families and within their communities, to better face the new challenges of the pandemic.

The website, which now counts 28 Sanctuaries from 17 European countries and the Vatican, is not intended to close once the epidemic is over, but will remain as an instrument of prayer, unity and faith for all European people in the future.
