Over four weeks Fr Gavan Jennings will be teaching a brief course on the History of Philosophy. His goal is to give an overview of the development of philosophy from the ancients to modern times. No prior knowledge is required.
Fr Gavan has an Undergraduate and Master’s degree from University College Dublin and a Phd (in Aristotle’s dialectic) from the Pontifical University of the Holy Cross in Rome. He was ordained a Priest in 1997. He lives in Dublin and is on the Regional Commission of Opus Dei in Ireland. He is the editor of Position Papers.
